It’s very rare that anything in the budget gets me excited.
However, yesterday the chancellor announced a tax on sugary soft drinks to help tackle childhood obesity.
Now that alone will not solve the issue, but it is a major contributing fact and George Osborne should be applauded for having the guts to put this in place.
You’ll remember I posted a link to a petition on this subject a few months back which was being fronted by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver.
And it would appear that Jamie has been heeding his own advice and steering clear of the sugar. I saw him on telly yesterday, and he’s usually got more chins than a Chinese phone book, but he looked positively slim. Leading by example, good man.
It won’t surprise you that soft drinks are not on the recommended food list that comes with The Bodyweight Method. NO foods are banned, but I do recommend what members should eat to achieve success.
One member of the Winter Journey posted in the private Facebook group a couple of days ago that she’s just 4lbs short of the weight loss target she set herself at the start, back in January.
Now she’s probably already exceeded her target in fat loss as she will have gained muscle, but she’s still motivated to shed those final few pounds by the end of the challenge in 10 days time.
