A report came out today suggesting that if middle-aged people want to have a happier, healthier old age, they need to make a number of lifestyle changes.
The same report than stated that forty-somethings…….wait a minute, FORTY-somethings….they aren’t middle aged…twilight of their youth maybe, but definitely not middle aged.
As a 43, soon to be 44 year old, I can quite safely say I am NOT middle aged!!!!!
Anyway, I digress. Basically what this report was saying is that unless middle aged people give up smoking, take more exercise and eat better, they face ill health later in life.
That doesn’t just apply to forty-somethings, that applies to everyone. The sooner you start making the required changes, the more time you have to enjoy fitness and good health.
And you don’t have to make massive changes, one thing at a time.
Eat less/no refined sugar
Give up smoking
Cut back on the booze
Eat more fresh vegetables
You only get out of your body what you put in, and that includes putting in lots of stimulus for your muscles to get stronger.
