I get dozens of messages/emails from people EVERY week asking about my programmes, what they do, how hard are they…that sort of stuff.

I had another couple yesterday, but one in particular stood out because it ended with the line “been waiting to join at the right time”. What that basically means is “I don’t really want to start, but I think I probably need to”.

You don’t NEED to, unless you’ve be told by a doctor. If you don’t WANT to start, there’s no point starting, you will never be successful.

You’re much better off finding some other way to make yourself happy…take up knitting, get a dog, whatever will work for you.

Don’t start a weight loss programme (especially one of mine) unless you really want it, because it will hard enough without having the extra burden of not wanting it.

14 people who REALLY wanted it were my 14 Commando Challenge ladies. Last Sunday they climbed, jumped, pulled, slipped and slid their way around a wet, muddy 10k course in the North Devon countryside. Everyone completed it, and all in respectable times…and they are already talking about the next challenge.

So I’ve got my thinking cap on, sure we’ll do another obstacle course, but I really want to make the next one a step up the challenge ladder (surprise, surprise).

A number of the commandettes have already done my 10×10 Challenge (some of them more than once) and have gone on to bigger, better things. There’s also no guarantee that I’ll be running this in the new year as I’ll be launching ‘The Bodyweight Method’ in January.
